A screenshot of a video reporting an experiment with human microdroplets (in red) spreading from minute to minute in an enclosed room. Used here only as an illustration, not related to the experiment described below
A NEW TECHNOLOGICAL EXPERIMENT of aerosolization of coronaviruses (MERS SARS, SARS-CoV-1, SARS-CoV-2) resulted in this finding: oval/spherical SARS-CoV-2 viruses (inside the aerosols with 1-3 μm diameter, whereas the size of naturally generated aerosols is < 5μm) can maintain its stability, viability, resilience, and infectivity up to 16 hours (= 960 minutes). See the attached picture below. Tap it and zoom-in.
The experiment was conducted in 23°c air temperature, with 53% humidity level, and without ultraviolet light source.

It is important to know, however, that environmental parameters play roles as well in airborne transmission. Air temperature, air humidity, the sunlight, particularly UVA and UVB (UVC cannot reach the surface of the Earth), the population density of an area, the speed of air movement, the air pressure, the weather, affect, to a certain extent, the airborne viral transmission.
Here is my warning. As long as humans still breathe, talk, sneeze, cough, sing, cry out, laugh, and wear no face masks, SARS-CoV-2 viruses are floating in the air FOREVER, always ready to infect. One virus died after 960 minutes, innumerable other viruses emerge and linger on in the air inside aerosols. Ever.
Are you scared by this information? No! Don't be scared. Viruses, not bacteria, pathogenic or nonpathogenic, were the deepest root of the tree of biological evolution that started about 3.4 billion years ago. "Viruses must be located far down at the root of the tree of life."

Viruses are everywhere together with other species up to the present, in the air containing natural and non-natural aerosols and in the bodies of their hosts. Virus-free environments do not exist. So, we need protections from pathogenic viruses, since we were born. Effective vaccines protect us from harmful viral infections, since our mothers gave birth to us.

What should you do now? Wear a face mask always whenever you leave your house. And make the indoor air in your house always circulate through sufficient ventilations, and keep it fresh, clean and purified by highly efficient filters. We need air-replacement and purified or filtrated enclosed air, in any places (a restaurant, a meeting room, a classroom, a house, an office, etc) and locations.
The preventive measures to avoid of the presence of viral aerosols in indoor air I have concisely described above, unfortunately, will be very costly.
